What is the RQI 1 stop platform? ›

The RQI 1Stop platform is the easiest and most efficient way to deliver self-directed learning initiatives such as HeartCode BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Administrators can create student and group assignments, deliver content, and report on student progress and completions.

A: The Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)® Program is a program from the American Heart Association that delivers quarterly training to support mastery of high-quality CPR skills. With RQI, healthcare providers have the confidence and competency to respond with life-saving patient care.

RQI Quarterly Training

†In the BLS Class model, health care providers are paid for their time to attend 4 hours of training. In the RQI model, because the time per training session is brief and can be completed in the hospital, training is completed during scheduled shifts and additional salary costs are not incurred.

RQI for NRP is a quality improvement program for institutions. The program allows learners to complete NRP Essentials via a self-directed curriculum with quarterly cognitive and skills activities to reinforce and master key NRP knowledge and Essentials provider skills at a simulation station.

As students successfully complete each quarterly activity, their certificate expiration date is “rolled-forward” for an additional 90 days. Through their ongoing participation in RQI, students effectively achieve a perpetual card – the focus is shifted from course completion to competency in CPR skills.

Our History

In 2015, the AHA and Laerdal introduced Resuscitation Quality Improvement^® (RQI^®) — a program blending the AHA's leadership in science and resuscitation education with Laerdal's expertise in technology, simulation and implementation to deliver low-dose, high-frequency CPR training.

RQI Simulation Station

RQI provides a dedicated “stationary” simulation station tailored for in-hospital use by healthcare employees. Each simulation station is conveniently mounted on a cart equipped with wheels and a push handle, enabling effortless mobility between different departments within the institution.

Learners have easy access to training through RQI 1Stop or a hospital's online learning management system.

RQI Partners is a partnership between the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical, positioning the organizations to deliver innovative solutions that accelerate the impact of their lifesaving mission.

How do I get a completion card if in RQI? The RQI participant will verify high-performance skills related to resuscitation. RQI participants are able to claim an AHA eCredential when compliant. The credential is an accepted and verified AHA credential.

Does RQI cover ACLS? ›

HeartCode Complete allows learners to fully complete their AHA BLS, ACLS or PALS training at their own pace, with courses delivered through any learning management system or through RQI Partners' own RQI 1Stop platform.

The American Heart Association chose RQI^® as their service provider for BLS, ALS, and PALS solutions. RQI^® and HeartCode^® programs deliver quality resuscitation training through a more flexible delivery method for prehospital healthcare providers.

BLS is a more comprehensive certification designed for healthcare workers and first responders that includes CPR plus additional life-saving techniques for cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and obstructed airways.

RQI Simulation Stations empower healthcare professionals to practice CPR skills through low-dose quarterly curricula and on-site training using a mobile, adaptable simulation station.

RQ1 (RNA Qualified) RNase-Free DNase is a DNase I that degrades both double-stranded and single-stranded DNA endonucleolytically, producing 3´-OH oligonucleotides. RQ1 RNase-Free DNase is used in applications where maintaining the integrity of the RNA is critical.
