MPD CALLS FOR SERVICE 05-10-24

We share MPD’s activity report to help you have a better understanding of the number and types of calls our officers respond to daily. This serves as a quick overview of the previous date’s calls for service. It does not include every detail related to each incident or traffic stop.

1:51 a.m. – Report of female walking toward Eads Drive from Homestead Heights, possibly intoxicated. Checked okay.

6:11 a.m. – Business security checks, extra patrol overnight: Walgreens, SKRECC and Sloan’s Trophies. All secure, no issues discovered.

7:30 a.m. – Two calls of deer struck by vehicle, still alive, on KY 3106 in area of Conley Gregory Construction. Officer drove through area several times, deer no longer there.

11:59 a.m. – Complaint of possible drug activity at residence in Homestead Heights.

1:49 p.m. – Traffic stop North Main Street. Verbal warning for disregarding stop sign Crawford Street.

2:17 p.m. – Truck stolen from residence on High Street located/recovered on Ballenger Lane. Male fled on foot when officer/deputy arrived at truck’s location. Male known to officer/deputy. Warrants applied for.

4:21 p.m. – Request to speak with officer at MPD regarding accident report.

3:58 p.m. – Request for officer at McDonald’s. Caller reports “adult male and female fighting inside Play Place”. Female arrested on warrant from neighboring county.

4:41 p.m. – Motorist assist North Main Street.

5:22 p.m. – Request to speak with officer at MPD. Caller request advice on issues with juvenile.

5:23 p.m. – Motorist assist stop light #1.

6:46 p.m. – Alarm activated at Lydiann Jewelry. Everything checked okay.

8:43 p.m. – Report of “male in older white truck passed out at the wheel” in Walmart parking lot near recycling bins. Male was okay. (reading Bible)

10:44 p.m. – Complaint of male, possibly under the influence, walking around area of Elm Street and Fair Street. Officers patrolled through area, negative contact.

10:50 p.m. – Report of multiple shots fired on Tennessee Avenue. Officers responded, talked with caller and others on street. No other information provided, negative contact with offender.

2:25 a.m. – Request from Clinton County Dispatch to ATL/BOLO male on motorcycle, involved in physical altercation at Junction Station. Few minutes later, call cancelled, male located.

6:21 a.m. – Request to speak with officer regarding possible neglect of caller’s father by caretaker.

10:17 a.m. – Report of vehicle vs utility poles at end of Hardwood Drive. Information for report taken. Driver/owner of vehicle declined treatment/transport to medical facility.

12:48 p.m. – Traffic stop on Cherry Street. Driver checked okay.

1:35 p.m. – Information received on possible location of male individual with active warrants. Residence checked, negative contact.

4:01 p.m. – Request to speak with officer on Crawford Street. Advice given to landlord/property owner.

6:40 p.m. – Reckless driving complaint on gold Chevrolet Malibu, last seen on KY 90 East, westbound toward town. Traffic stop with vehicle, driver checked okay.

9:05 p.m. – Request to speak with officer regarding harassment by son’s ex-girlfriend.

9:10 p.m. – Report of domestic dispute in area of Family Dollar on North Main Street. Made contact with female and male. Female stated she had been arguing with someone over the phone.

10:29 p.m. – Alarm activated at Black Stallion Steakhouse. Building/premises checked okay.

11:32 p.m. – Request for officer at residence on North Second Street. Caller reports 13 year-old male “out of control, doesn’t want to go to sleep”. Advice given. (couldn’t make this up if we tried)
