Frank E. Hartman, Jr. of Stratford, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 20, 2024, at the age of 79. Formally of Clementon, NJ.

Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Wilson). Devoted father of Melissa Chisholm (Mike) and Frank. Loving "Pop" of Michael, Frank, and William. Dear brother of Thomas Hartman, Barbara Whitman, and the late Margaret Chatburn. Also survived by many loving family and friends.

Frank served in the Air Force and was a Combat Photographer which included his tour in Vietnam.

Proud member of Local Union 322, retired, where he formed lasting friendships.

"There was never an organization that Frank wouldn't join".

Commander of the Rawls-Tait VFW Post #7334 and a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1068 where he and his fellow veterans formed an unbreakable bond.

Lifetime member of the Stratford Fire Company, lifetime member of NJ State Firemen's Association, Stratford Ambulance, and President of Stratford Council. His love for his town was unmeasurable.

He was a member the American Legion, Elks Club, and many more organizations.

His true love was the beach. Especially driving his Jeep on the beach with his grandsons and fishing there. He also enjoyed wine making, golfing, and flying model airplanes.

Frank never ran out of energy and we called him "our energizer bunny" always on the go!

There will be a viewing from 1pm until 3pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral service to follow at the funeral home. Interment is private at the request of the family.

Mrs. Hartman, Missy and Frank,
I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your husband and father. Although it has been awhile since high school, I'm sure he was there to watch Missy playing field hockey and we got a chance to meet and talk. Losing a parent is something one never dreams of but know the wonderful memories will give you comfort during times of sadness. May there be lots of hugs and prayers as you all try to deal with a new way of living and loving. Rest in Peace!!

Frank's memory and captivating smile will forever be embedded in our hearts. A loving friend who you immediately felt like you've known him forever. Frank was a part of our Air Force Combat Photography group, a bond of brothers that is eternal. Condolences to Barbara and the family. Rest in peace, Frank.

Frank taught evening RSES classes at the Pennsauken High School. I attended for several years back in the 80's. He will always be on that short list of people who made a difference in the lives of those he came into contact with. Frank was one of the good guys.

Oh did he love the Jersey shore. So many memories over the years of beach, fishing and eating crabs. Frank loved a good time and a crowd going back to bazooka days with my Mom and Dad. He loved working in Cape May so he could stop by and visit. He loved people and we loved him. He will be missed. Jan and Charles
