The Job:

Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is looking for a Director, Human Resources, Global Supply Chain (GSC) to lead North American HR for 7 facilities throughout, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Ohio, Ireland, and Mexico. This key leader will report directly to the VP, HR GSC Industrial with a dotted line of reporting to the VP, HR Joining Systems & Solutions. The role provides strategic and tactical direction on people strategies, organization development, and other business initiatives. The Director, HR will serve as a trusted advisor for the business and the main objectives of this high-impact role are focused on supporting the key HR strategies to attract, engage, develop, reward, and retain a diverse, highly qualified, and culturally aligned employee base. You'll get to provide HR leadership and guidance for the GSC, operations, with a very strong commercial partnership. Establish overall goals, objectives, and team vision while providing training and development opportunities for direct reports supporting their continuous growth and learning.

As a Director, Human Resources, Global Supply Chain, you'll be part of our Human Resource team working as a virtual employee. You'll get to:

  • Ensure the alignment of the HR organization with cross-functional activities/priorities across the business units.
  • Set the HR strategy for these key operational functional areas, but also support and develop a strong partnership with the Industrial commercial team to ensure business strategies are being supported by the Global Supply Chain teams throughout Industrial
  • Develop key metrics to measure the performance/health of the business, ensuring departmental success
  • Promote and lead a diverse and inclusive work environment for all employees
  • Oversee, leading when necessary, project management activities within the Operations function to include setting project priorities, obtaining alignment with leadership, developing ROI analysis for project justification
  • Facilitate positive working relationships and accountability within and across the business units and regions
  • Drive the SBD performance enablement process across all levels of the organization
  • Lead with persuasiveness, decisiveness, and competitiveness motivating a team to drive results
  • Build bench strength and attract top talent with a strong focus on future succession

The Person:

  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a global industrial company
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing (Aerospace experience preferred)
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0 concepts preferred
  • Demonstrated working relationships between multiple functions within an organization, including commercial and sales.
  • In-depth knowledge about local Human Resource Processes, employment, and legal regulations; strong awareness of international HR processes, employment and legal regulations (CA.)
  • Excellent knowledge of key attributes of HR management including, but not limited to talent development, succession planning; organizational model and capability building
  • Bachelor's degree in HR (or related field) required
  • Master's Degree in HR or Advanced Degree in Business, or related field preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support EHS and Quality operations globally
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 30% of the time. Required to be in California locations one-week per month.
